Amanda Holdens Box ( A Pressie for Chris) |
Imagine our surprise and exitement, when not only were we asked to provide a kiosk for amanda to give to her fiance, Chris for Christmas, but were challenged with turning it into a functional office for him. That was when the "can do" philosophy that we all have here at English Phone boxes, had to be firmly applied. Imagine then our further head scratching, when asked if we could power it up with Solar panels. Game on!!!.
Our engineer Kev, (he"s the grisly adams in the photo),set about brainstorming the metal work.
Our good freind Owen, from Ambisol, here in Gloucester, a genius who gets his spare time kicks, playing with LED"s, set about applying his "light refraction through acrylic" principles to lighting the office.
Certainly Amanda and Chris were suitably pleased. Pleased enough to insist on spending an hour with me and the lads at our Hotel, the most hospitable King William 1V, at Sedgeford.

Ill let you decide wether their efforts were successful.
Check out the pics.

Just a quick note( - now that I've got my Blog working ) to say how privileged we were here at EPB to have been asked to provide a MK1 K6 for the opening of the recently restored Sir Giles Gilbert Scott building at Putney.
My team did us proud!

Butterfly Garden Charity Day |
I'd like to expressmy gratitude to all the people who contributed both financially and in terms of their time. Chris Evans of the Butterfly Project(helping local disabled children) was delighted to receive over £2000 from the local community to provide wheelchair access to the garden and expand the garden to allow increased involvement.
